Koolhass

I stated knitting a Koolhas late June for Clark. Here it is almost done! I will post pictures of the lucky recipient soon! I knit one more pattern repeat then requested by the patter so the finished object is too large for me but be a perfect fit for Clark. I’m very proud of this hat and I’m glad to know it will be going to someone who appreciates the effort of hand knits!

My Koolhaas is knit from Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% alpaca, 50% wool.) 1hank, 215 yards with left overs finished out this hat. Ribbing was done in US size 6 needles and the body of the hat was knit in US size 8.

I did run into difficulties when decreasing for the crown but the lovely people in the forums on Ravelry set me straight! I would suggest to anyone knitting this hat to save yourself a head ache and doing needless cabling. I knit this entire hat with a cable needle which slowed me down substantially, but well worth all th effort!

So this is my finale attempt to keep a blog (after 3 fails!) if this one doesn’t work out I’m calling it quites! But I will try to keep you posted and not neglect this blog!

Enjoy!
